The court found Prasit, 53, guilty of having the warfare products in the boot of his car on April 22, 2010. Police found that the military products were stolen when soldiers cracked down on anti-government red-shirt demonstrators on April 10, 2010. Prasit earlier denied the charges of illegally possessing warfare products and receiving stolen objects. The former MP for Surin province was earlier sentenced to two years and six months in prison for lese majeste. He was released after one year and 10 months behind bars when he received a second royal pardon in March 2016.
